Coaching Staff
Head Coach: Mike Cooper
Mike Cooper begins his first season as Head Baseball Coach at Bishop Shanahan. He began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach in 1981 at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. He then became an Assistant Coach at Villanova University in 1993. From 1980 to 1993 he played on and coached several teams in the West Chester Adult League. Most recently he served as the Head Coach of the Kennett Square American Legion Baseball team. His teams captured the Chester County Championship and Pennsyvania Region 3 titles in 2001 and 2002. In 2001 and 2002 his teams were finalists in the Pennsylania American Legion State Tournament. In 2002 and 2003 he served as an assistant coach at Unionville High School. Mike Cooper resides in Oxford, Pa.
Assistant Coach: Phil Junker
Phil Junker begins his first season as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Bishop Shanahan. He began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach for the Kennett Square American Legion team in 2003. He has also coached football at Marple Newtown High School. A long time West Chester Adult League player, he brings years of playing experience with him. Phil Junker resides in Lincoln University, Pa.
